Edgar Raab, class of 41 came up with the idea that an Alumni Association for Spaulding and Rochester High School can be of great value to Rochester. He stated at the first meeting "that there are so many things to be done and there are no losers here, only winners, kids, parents and taxpayers"

The Alumni Association is still in the beginning stage. The first general meeting was held on January 13, 2000 at the Spaulding High School Auditorium. There were a total of 25 people in attendance, which represented 18 different classes from 1941 to 1999.

Since the 1st meeting, a set of bylaws have been established and we have filed with the State of New Hampshire under "Articles of Agreement of A New Hampshire NonProfit Corporation."

In order to be organized as an Alumni Association by the State, a board of directors had to be established, which reguired five signatures. The first board of directors consisted of: Edgar Raab, David Stevens, Ken Billings, Bruce Wotton and Richard Marsh.

A general meeting or workshop is held monthly, except for July.

Alumni's Purpose:

  1. To serve & promote the educational, recreational and athletic interests of Spaulding High School in the City of Rochester, NH.

  2. To serve as an educational forum for alumni to maintain contact with one another and with the school.

  3. To support periodical reunions and other events for alumni and students.

  4. To carry-out fund raising and other charitable activities for the benefit of the school, it's current students and alumni.

  5. To function as the alumni's official voice in communicating with the school.

  6. All other purposes  for which an organization may be exempt fron federal taxation under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 and any amendments.
